Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read on. The Hitchen Kitchen is a place for me to try new recipes and share them with you. I am new to blogging and am excited to start this adventure with you as I try new things. Learning to cook was not an easy process for me and it started when I became a vegetarian. I kind of got thrown into this new world of food and didn’t know what to do. On this blog I will be sharing some of my favorite recipes, but also trying new recipes and testing them out.
My friends often ask me how I have time to cook. Simply: I make it a priority. It’s not a chore. It’s a hobby. And since it’s a hobby I make sure that I have time for it. For me, cooking is a way to relieve stress. When I’m overwhelmed or in the middle of exams, I cook or bake to make something delicious and remove myself from that stress (which is how I ended up with a freezer full of bagels this week).
I have fun in the kitchen, and I hope that you do, too. Cooking shouldn’t be a stressful event. It should be a fun process where you get to exercise your creativity and learn about what you like and don’t. Sometimes you might think its a disaster, but use it as a way to learn. Start small, and build your confidence as you build a collection of recipes.
I hope to hear from you all as this project progresses, and would love your directions to find some new recipes to try.
All the best,
